Introducing John…

Personnage atypique et britannique, John Brightman aime à raconter qu’il est venu au monde au moment exact ou la fusée Spoutnik franchissait son 9000 ème kilomètre. Après une enfance passée dans le domaine familial du sud de l’Ecosse, parents et enfants décident de retourner vivre à Londres au début des années 1970.

Il amorce ainsi le début de longues et brillantes études. Sous la pression familiale, il obtient très rapidement son diplôme d’avocat. Passionné de course hippique et de saut à la perche, on ignore à quelle époque il décide de quitter famille et Royaume-Uni. On retrouve sa trace lors de l’une de ses haltes, à Bombay, en 1981. Là commence un long périple, de l’Inde à la Birmanie, en passant par Mendoza et Tananarive. Il consigne notes et impressions dans des carnets de voyages, encore inédits à ce jour. La mort de sa mère l’oblige à rentrer précipitamment à Londres, en 1983.

Sous l’impulsion de son ami J. Donaldson et grâce à d’exceptionnels talents de communiquant, John Brightman devient conseiller en communication de différentes personnalités du barreau de Londres et de la Chambre des Lords.
 Fort de ses expériences cosmopolites, de ses différents projets développés au Honduras notamment, et de sa solide réputation familiale, les conseils avisés de John Brightman s’avèrent aussi précieux qu’incontournables. Sa clientèle s’ouvre alors à divers corps de métiers, des comédiens du National Theatre aux grandes firmes de l’agro-alimentaire britannique. Parallèlement, il commence une carrière d’enseignant dans diverses écoles de communication américaines et anglaises.

John Brightman a été anobli par la Reine en juin 2002, perpétuant ainsi une prestigieuse lignée familiale. Paris, Miami, Brighton, il partage aujourd’hui sa vie entre ses cours et ses consultations, les voyages et ses petits-enfants.

British and unique, John Brightman loves telling the story of how he came into the world at the exact moment when the rocket Sputnik crossed its 9000th kilometer. After a childhood spent on the family estate in Southern Scotland, parents and children decide to move back to London in the early 70‚’s, where John embarks on the beginning of long and brilliant studies. Under family pressure, he quickly obtains his law degree. Passionate about horse racing and pole vault, it is unclear at what time he decided to leave family and the United Kingdom. We found his tracks at one of his stops in Bombay in 1981. Here begins a long journey from India to Burma, through Mendoza and Antananarivo. He keeps a travel diary with his notes and impressions, still unpublished to this day. The death of his mother forced him to return hastily to London in 1983.

Spurred on by his friend J. Donaldson and with exceptional talent as a communicator, John Brightman becomes a Communications Adviser to various personalities of the Bar of London and the House of Lords.
Strengthened by his cosmopolitan experiences, namely by his various projects developed in Honduras, and by his solid family reputation, John Brightman’s advice proves to be as invaluable as quintessential to his clients. His clientele broadens and diversifies to include several industries, from comedians of the National Theatre to large British food processing conglomerates. Meanwhile, he begins a teaching career teaching in several American and English communication schools.

John Brightman was ennobled by the Queen in June 2002, thus perpetuating a prestigious family lineage. Paris, Miami, Brighton, today he shares his life between his lectures and consultations, as well as his travels and grandchildren.
